Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead

For many years UUCM hosted as many as four families at a time from the Family Promise North Shore Boston program. We did this for three or four different weeks during the year. The families were housed at the church for one week at a time during which numerous volunteers from the congregation, as well as several volunteers from the community (not affiliated with UUCM) provided meals and hospitality for our guests.

Coincident with the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Shore Family Promise Boston decided to transition from the rotational shelter program that served these families so well. They now will be hosted at a single facility, temporarily at 8 Rantoul St., Beverly, rather than various host sites throughout the North Shore. The program will maintain the volunteer roles we have come to love and offer new opportunities to engage with these families in transition.
