Indigenous Peoples

We have explored the history of how settler colonialism and government actions impacted indigenous peoples of North America. In a follow-on project, we succeeded in persuading the Town Meeting to pass a change in the holiday name Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples Day.

We continue to support legislative efforts at the state house to eliminate the use of offensive images of indigenous peoples in the state seal, and other such miss-uses of Native American imagery.
