UUCM Snow Policy

It is the policy of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead to not hold activities, including services, during major snow events.  Announcements about closing the church will be sent to the WBZ television and radio station, be posted on our facebook page and facebook group and be sent in an email to our newsletter lists to members and friends. An informal phone tree exists for those who do not use computers (Please let us know if you need a ‘buddy.’)

Come in. Come into this place which we make holy by our presence.

Come in with all your vulnerabilities and strengths, fears and anxieties, loves and hopes. For here you need not hide, nor pretend, nor be anything other than who you are and are called to be.

Come into this place where we can touch and be touched, heal and be healed, forgive and be forgiven.

Come into this place, where the ordinary is sanctified, the human is celebrated, the compassionate is expected.

Come into this place. Together we make it a holy place.

This invocation, Come into this place, was written by Rebecca Edmiston-Lange, and reflects our desire to build a welcoming, inviting and socially-conscious community.

We’re excited that you found your way to our web site and hope you will continue on your journey and find your way into our sanctuary. We are a community of all ages, histories, identities, gifts, and challenges. Please join us as we reach for a better tomorrow. We look forward to meeting you!

Our community gathers for many events and activities throughout the week but our primary gathering takes place on Sunday morning at 10:30 am. There you will be welcomed into an hour-long worship service that includes a time for gathering, a time for prayerful or meditative reflection, a time for a central message from the pulpit, and some fabulous music.

If you would like to talk to me, please call the office at 781-631-1215.

Reverand Wendy von Courter, Parish Minister
